Creamtree walked out of the Warrior's den. She wanted to become a Queen so badly as she starred at the Queen's den across the clearing. Creamtree needed a mate to spread the heritage through her clan...but who, how? Her light fur was glossy in the morning sun as she went to the fresh-kill pile, noticing it was low. Maybe she should go hunting, keep her mind on Warrior duties before she became a Queen as her life's dream.

Hawkpaw waved at the shecat in front of him," Hello? Earth to Creamtree?". He sighed as she continued to ignore him. He poked her side,"HELLO?" Finally that got a reaction out of her. "Dreamstar wants you to go on a hunting patrol. Now."

Blinking out of her trance, she spotted the small apprentice nudging her side. "Oh...sorry, Hawkpaw. Day-dreaming as always" she sighed. Creamtree turned the to leaders den, and back to Hawkpaw. "Thanks for the heads up" she finally said before walking over. Creamtree stood at the entrance, "Dreamstar, I'm ready for the hunting patrol" she told her.

A small shape sat, framed in the entrance of a den. It was a small shape, yet one of great lightness and delicacy. The shoulders move, up and down. A small movement, yet one of great sorrow. Small, rounded eyes watched each movement carefully, wistfully even. Always hunting. . The thought slips into her head before she can stop it, control her envy. It would not be long now, before this particular kit could hunt, yet the moons to come would be the most agonizing. For the time is so close, yet so inexplicably out of reach.
You're time will come. . Those words. Her mothers. So gentle was the tone that accompanied them, such infinite paitience was clear in them.
She shook her head, some may venture to call it angry, livid. But it is not; just frustration. She hears the warriors now, their voices are clearer to her ears, already pricked forward in her efforts to listen in on them, be a part with them as best she can. The hunting patrol. There, they've said it, the words she knew, just knew they were discussing. Her tail lashed, full of frustration. Her eyes fill with an emotion that seems to be unreadable, yet it is actually sadness. She thinks of calling out, yet she cannot find the words that seem right, to say it. These are her idols, cats she has always dreamed of being like. To call out, simply shout to them is too much for her at this stage in her young life. No, she will have to wait, or wait for them to speak to her. She tries to make herself look bigger, though fluffing up her fur and tail will not be enough. Sh sits up tall in the den, knowing her mother's watchful eye will be on her soon. Come on. . She finds herself thinking, feverently.

As Creamtree waited for Dreamstar to appear and allow the hunting patrol to set out into the forest, she spotted Flightkit, half of him in the shadows of his den. "FLightkit, what are you doing?" Her voice was so gentle as though she were already a Queen. Creamtree loved kits and she looked at him with a bit of sadness. 'I'm sure he would want to come on the hunting patrol more than anything right now...' Spotting his eyes, she could tell he had found himself thinking of his mother again. Smiling, she turned her head, again awaiting for her leader even though she began to become a bit impatient.

[ OOC: Lol, Flightkit is a she. xD ]
What am I doing ? Flightkit began to feel the onsets of rage, unusual for a kit perhaps, but none the less real. Her head tilted. A small movement, yet one that symbolized a lot to her; a gesture of disbelief. On the outside, her tail flicked, she sat up straighter, ready to respond in a friendly manner, although she did not feel in the slightest bit friendly. . 'Oh, just. . enjoying a little sun,' she mewed, her voice full of the warmth she did not feel.
Her anger was unjust, she knew that. The soon - to - be - queen, was only making conversation with her, trying to be kind to a small creature, in which she knew she could not really have too much interest. Yet, she could not stem the feeling. It leaked into her very soul, polluting her thoughts, giving her anger.
She smiled again, flicking her tail still, in that same, innocent - seeming motion. Seeing the she - cat's head turn away, she too, turned away, though her eyes darted back to her, in case she was watching her again and noticed anything. . unusual. 'You'd better go then.' The words escaped her, before she could stop them. She ducked her head, then lifted it up again, parting her jaws in an enormous, un - gainly yawn. This was to hide her embarassment, and make it seem less likely that she had actually said anything at all. 'With luck, she won't have even heard me. Too distracted.'[/i] That last thought was enough to make the kit snort with desersion, but she held it in. 'And there she goes. .' Her thoughts continued, but she was proved incorrect.

Dewstar came out of her den and saw Creamtree. "Hello. Sorry to keep you waiting. Can you take my apprentice Echopaw with you when hunting. Just show her the borders. That's something even a medicine cat should know. You may choose another cat to take with you if you wish," she told the warrior.
Echopaw came out of the medicine cat den. She had been sorting herbs for a little while. She had heard her name and padded out into the clearing. Echopaw bounded over over to Creamtree. "Did someone say my name?" she asked in a small voice.
Dewstar nodded to her apprentice and meowed, "You're going to go on a patrol with Creamtree." The apprentice nodded and padded over to stand next to Creamtree.

Nods to Echopaw, "I'll just take Hawkpaw with us as well, the others are busy, and I'd be glad to take two apprentices" she said, day-dreaming of kits again. Shaking her head, her eyes blinked. "Sorry" she mumbled under her breath. Creamtree walked over to Hawkpaw, Echopaw following close behind. "Hawkpaw, we need you for a hunting/border patrol" she ordered with a flick of her tail. "Echopaw is coming with us," she said, turning her head to the young she-cat, "I'm sure there are some herbs you will be looking for" Creamtree smiled.

"Yes," Echopaw mewed happily. She was happy to be out of camp for the first time. She bounded ahead of Creamtree and out of camp. She scented the air and found some yarrow. She started to cut at the stem with her claws, but then stopped as she waited for Creamtree and Hawkpaw.
Dewstar laughed at seeing the young she-cat bound out of camp. "You'd better catch up to her before she gets herself in trouble," Dewstar purred. A screech came from outside of camp. Dewstar raced to Creamtree and meowed, "That sounded like Echopaw!" She yowled as she raced out of camp, "I'm coming Echopaw!"

"Echopaw, get back here!" ordered Creamtree as Echopaw's tail disappeared in the entrance's foliage. She ran after her, telling Hawkpaw they could patrol on their own. Her heart skipped a beat as she heard a helpless cry...'Echopaw?! Awww, great. I don't want to be responsible if she is hurt!' she thought, not believing that Echopaw could be hurt. "Dewstar, wait for me!" she called out, watching as her clan leader bolted into the forest to find her young apprentice. Creamtree prayed to StarClan, "Please let her be ok".

Echopaw faced the huge animal in front of her. Hearing pawsteps behind her, she spun around to face them. "Dewstar!" the young cat meowed, fear and relief sounding in her voice.
Dewstar sighed with relief. But, at seeing the badger, her back arched. "Get back, Echopaw," she hissed softly. The badger hissed angrily as Dewstar circled it. "Creamtree!" Echopaw meowed to the she-cat.

A growl rose in Creamtree's throat, scenting badger as she skidded across the moorland, spotting the huge creature. Echopaw. Anger became a strong growl, rising in her throat. "Echopaw!" she shouted, claws unsheathed as they dug into the ground everytime her paw landed on the earthy ground. "Come on, Dewstar!" she called, jumping up with tremendous spead, raking the badger's back with her needle sharp claws. She tried to bite into it's thick pelt as best she could, switching to nipping at it's back leg. Creamtree staggered back into a standing position, trying to aim for her next battle move, glancing back once to make sure Echopaw was safe.

Dewstar's wild eyes looked towards the small apprentice. "Echopaw! Get back to camp. We need you more than anything," she hissed, leaping onto the badger's back. The badger tried everything to shake off the small, delicate leader of DreamClan. Dewstar raked her claws down the badger's striped flank and landed gracefully on the ground. She watched with pride as the badger raced off of DreamClan territory. Dewstar began to breath heavily. She staggered to the others. "Are you two alright?" she asked, looking up at the full moon. The full moon?! It was time for the gathering! "We're missing the gathering!" she hissed frantically. Echopaw gazed up at Dewstar. "But, your wounds...," she meowed softly. "Don't worry, Echopaw. Run back to camp and fetch Hawkpaw and Darkjade. They'll come along too," Dewstar responded to the apprentice, limping off in the direction of the gathering place.

Watching the badger limp off toward sanctuary, satisfacation conjured a small growl of victory. Listening to Dewstar's complant about the gathering, Creamtree gasped, unaware of it herself. "I'll stay to gaurd the camp this time, although I'd like to go to the next gathering" she informed her leader, padding off back to camp with a few minor scratches for wounds. "That was a battle well fought" she purred in relief, glad that neither of her companions had been injured too badly. Feelings of being a queen faded smoothly out of her mind, for the only subject that occupied her thoughts was the pride in being a Warrior....

As Swiftshadow padded strongly, and happily back to camp she noticed something was different. Once arriving, she stopped. Her small mouth dropped. "What Happened?" she whispered and looked around for a nearby warrior. "Creamtree?" Swiftshadow dashed over to her clanmate. "What is going on?" she asked, still alittle shock in fear. It seemed like the clan just got back from a gathering. How could something like this happen? As Swiftshadow gazed upon the clan, she noticed that no one had really bad, or serious injuries. Yet, she still feared. 'The clan hasn't had the best of luck lately.' Swiftshadow then mumbled.
