Rogue growled to himself as one of the cats darted towards a tall tree. "At least the other one is fat enugh." the black striped wolf barked to himself, glancing down at the brown tom that hadn't moved yet. Leaping forward, he sank his fangs into the brown tom's right back leg; the taste of blood ringing onto his tongue. Lifting his head, Rogue tossed his prey towards the river, so it would weaken.

((Is there something wrong with the other Mossy Area?)) Melody watched the wolf lunge, biting into Saga. 'NOOOOO!!!!!!" she screeched, legs feeling wobbly and weak seeing Saga's body barely a float in the river. Anger slowly began to build up in her paws, chest, and her eyes were maddened in rage. Melody instantly flung herself at the wolf, front paws landing on its forhead as she dug her claws in, had been hoping to get its eyes. Her back paws almost reached the muscle in the wolfs back as she let out a battle cry. "Let him be! Let him be you piece of crowfood!" Tears left her eyes but she held on, "If your hungry spare him and take me... Melody whispered.

((It was locked, so I couldn't post in there)) Rogue howled in pain as another cat leapt down, and sank its claws into his face. Biting back the pain in his forehead, and muzzle, the wolf-hybrid began swinging his head around; hoping the cat would loosen its grip. When he heard the cat say to take her instead of the brown tom, he stopped. "You warther die instead of him, so he can live?" Rogue asked, just standing there as he looked cross-eyed at the she-cat with suprised, gentle eyes.

((Huh, ok, I'm not sure why but I'll do my best to find out and fix it. I was able to post...Kinda confusing)) Melody was being flung around, back legs looses as she was swung back and forth. The wolf paused, hearing her touching words, his voice became gentle. At first Melody wasn't sure if this was what she wanted, but she took another look at the non moving Saga, knowing he must still be alive, only out cold with shock. "Y-Yes!" she choked back the words, legs stiff and eyes squinted shut, "Just....J-just don't hurt him anymore." Although she knew that she could help the wolf without all of the violence just by catching fish for him, she wanted to know that this wolf could be trusted first....Possibly letting her go because of strong modesty and understanding. But at the same time, if he wouldn't listen..Her parents would have Saga. Sooner or later they'd find him, and take him in. Melody let herself fall off of Rogue, crouched low and leaning a bid to the right, slanted in a small defense postion. Her heart was racing, looking up at the tall, lean wolf. Her eyes pleaded survival, but her heart spoke sacrifice for a friend. If this wolf was trustworthy, after she was gone he wouldn't touch Saga.

Rogue stared at the she-cat, then blinked. Her loyalty to her friend, was something he hadn't seen in any another animal since the fire. And her eyes...they were holding a strange shine in them, something that Rogue knew his own green eyes were missing; along with any other animal he'd had seen. He looked at the brown, perking his ears forward when he saw the what damge he had done to the brown tom's leg. "Wait here," he barked at Melody, then dashed off over the hill towards some brushes. Using his scent of smell, Rogue manged to sniff out the herb he was looking for: Chervil. Tucking a mouthful between his collar so it was easier to carry them, the lighter black-striped wolf hybrid trotted back to the she-cat, and her friend. "Here, these herbs should help the wounds." he explain, grabbing the tom out of the water, and putting the chevril juice on the leg wound.

Melody still shook as the wolf's eyes looked at her strangely for a couple of minutes, and each one that passed make her legs ache even more. Her fluffy ears perked up and she leaned forward, putting a paw down on the ground as he barked out his command, grabbing what looked like Chervil from the bushes. Melody flinched when he came to drop the herbs at her paws and she trembled a bit as he dragged Saga out of the water. Melody rushed to his side and began licking his ears and chest rapidly so that she could warm him up and possibly wake him back to consciousness. "Y-.....Why are you helping me? Us? You were just about to" Melody gulped, "Eat us!" Melody gazed at Saga's closed eyes and yanked her neck back to look into Rogue's green eyes, and again she repeated, "Why? And-...If your a wolf, why do you have a collar? Do you belong to Twolegs for some strange reason?" she asked, making sure he'd heard her before returning to Saga's needs, silently thanking that there had been Chervil near by in the first place. Maybe there were poppy seeds as well...

Rogue's eyelids lowered down a bit when the she-cat asked why he was helping them when he wanted to eat them ealier. "Because...you two were the only prey I've seen in a while. I was just trying to surive." he explain, putting more of the herb juice on the brown tom's leg. He flinched when the she-cat asked asked he was wearing a collar. He placed a paw on his dark green collar, and rubbed it between his 'fingers'. "...I used to belong to Twolegs. My mother was a dog, and my father a wolf. But...that all I'm going to tell." Rogue barked sadly as painfull memories of the fire at the breeding center echoed though his mind.

"Wait here" Melody said, after listening to his explanations, the last one seemed to be hard for him. She left him tending to Saga, and she knelt down by the stream, only her tail tip twitching in focus. A small glimmering scale lit up in the water and she shot our an outstretched claw, claws unsheathed, she gripping the large fish's side, claws sticking out its other side. Melody quickly retracted her paw and slammed the fish on the grassy earth, biting it once to kill it off and holding it in her mouth. She was kinda nervous around Rogue still, unsure of whether he'd hurt her if he didn't like it... "Here...um, try it since your hungry" she whipered, laying the dead fish at his paws and going back to sit beside Saga.

Rogue licked his lips as he watched Melody head over to the river. He perked his ears forward as she caught a plump fish before his eyes. "I didn't know cats could fish." he told himself as the she-cat came back over. He stared at the fish she brought him, still unsure to take a bite. After thinking it over, he leaned forward, and ripped a chunk off of the body. "*chew, chew, chew, gulp* Wow, this is good!" Rogue barked, his green eyes brighting. He began eating the rest of the fish, chomping it down like it was the last thing he'll ever eat.

"Yup, we can" She said, watching as Rogue ate the fish rapidly, swiping his tongue once he was done. Melody yawned as she noticed the sun starting to set and the bright, comforting dark glow growing over across the sky, dimming a few of the early appearing stars. She looked down at Saga as he was sleeping and decided to lay down beside him, her pelt barely touching his in order to warm him from the night breeze that swept across her muzzle. "Um...well, it's getting late," Melody yawned, eyes half closed and her sharp amber eyes looking drowsy. What a strange night it had been, meeting a wolf that seemed to be of no danger, and Saga possibly injured more than it seems. Melody thought of her mother and father, wondering if they were mad that she was staying out longer than she should. But she didn't care, she was with Saga, and she felt safe. Melody looked up at Rogue, her head swaying with heavy sleep as her gaze met his "Thank you..." she whispered.

Rogue yawned, feeling some of his little enegy starting to drain out of him. Lying down on his thin belly, he looked over at Meldoy. As thier eyes met, she whisppeared thank you to him. The hybrid smiled faintly at her. "You're welcome kittycat." he barked quietly, laying his head on his paws. Rogue's green eyes fluttered as he glanced over at the small she-cat, and the brown tom. They seemed to really like each other. I wonder...I wonder I could be friends with them, the light striped black canine thought as he closed his eyes. Maybe...travel with them...I just wonder....

Melody woke with a prod to the back. "huh? Wuh?" She stiffled a yawn, head swaying as she lifted it. It felt like a giant rock. Her eyes were still foggy with sleep, the sides almost sticky as the water escaped her eyes after the yawn. Melody then turned her head to see a stick in her back. "Oh. she purred. She couldn't help but look over at Rogue incase he had left in the middle of the night for some odd reason. Nope, he still seemed to be fast asleep. Saga still wouldn't wake up, and she was beginning to really worry.
