Whisperstar shook her fur as she walked out of her den calmly. Her beautiful green eyes set an illusion to others who looked at them. Her slender gray fur was short, but soft and she sat on the Highrock, looking down upon her Clan. She looked so elegent on the Highrock, her eyes piercing the dens with her gaze. Whisperstar thought about The next Gathering and how close it was, and the warriors she'd take with her, though all clans were short of Clan mates since the "Pulsing Flood"

Silverheart padded back into camp as she had just done a quick border patrol, she knew she had to report to Whisperstar and she padded over to her. "Hello Whisperstar, I have just come back from my patrol, everything was normal, and nothing wierd around", she reported.

OCC: Whitegaze, in the boards you can only rp about cats that are really in the clan, ok? Up top it would be possible.
Whisperstar spotted Silverhearts shining pelt as it emerged from the entrance. "Thats good news" she purred softly. "Every clan has been silent for awhile" she said, "So its good to hear that they aren't up to anything...". Whisperstar jumped elegantly off the Highrock, grabbing two three plump mice and taking one to Tunnelkit. Smiling, she licked the top of his head as he slept, knowing he'd find the fresh prey once he awoke. With a flick of her ear, she hurried out back to Silverheart, dropping the prey at her paws and inviting her to the nice evening meal.

Silverheart saw Whisperstar give her some prey, "oh thank you Whisperstar", she purred. she remembered what Whisperstar said, 'the clans have been quiet', and she wondered why. it was true the clans have been very quiet and it was a wonder why.

Whisperstar began tearing apart her mouse, enjoying its juices on her tongue and swiping her tongue. "Leaf-bare is half over, thank Starclan" she sighed, staring up at the sunset sky. She looked over to Tunnelkit worriedly, "I hope he won't grow too fast...We don't have many kits and I wish to at least keep some youth in Wildclan". Whisperstar licked her whiskers and then her paw, swiping it over her ear. The cold wind began making her pelt bristle, "I think it's time we get to our dens..."

[ OOC: Awesome, thanks xD ]
A gray pelt emerged. Soft in the light, it appeared dappled, blending in and out of the various shadows that covered the WildClan camp. The shape came closer, revealing itself to be a warrior, large in frame, pelt rippling with muscles, firm and strong. The leaf - bare had not seemingly affected this particular cat. He padded onwards, his eyes darting around as he searched for his clanmates. His tail was outstretched; long and flowing it's short hairs ruffled in the bitter winds. From his jaws, their dangled the limp bodies; clear evidence of fresh - kill, much needed for the clan in these difficult times.
The warrior desposited these, dropping them with surprising care onto the ever - growing pile. All prey is necessary, right now. . This thought continued to haunt this particular warrior as he continued on his way. He stopped, any cat could tell he had seen something. Yet his stance was not threatened, more welcoming. His pace increased and his ears pricked forward. His trot became bounds, bounds of joy, of upmost relief. This cat had been hard at hunting all day; he was pleased for a little company, even if one of them was a simple kit.
Having reached the two cats, one his beloved leader and the other, a small bundle of fur; Tunnelkit, he knew that name. . And that perky face, so strangely familiar. His tail flicked affectionately. 'Hello, to you both.' He said this simply. To some, it may have been a greeting that was a little lacking in compassion and warmth, perhaps, but he knew they would know better and see through this, for his heart swelled at the site of them both, standing there in the dry looking clearing. 'Prey's running, well. Amazingly.' There, again, another short sentence, yet one that was normal between cats, and cats of the same clan. His eyes were friendly and a soft blue and he looked at them both fondly. A small flick of his tail. This landed gently on the kit's head, making it bob down, just a little. 'Isn't it too cold for you ?' He smiled instinctively, knowing it's immediate protesting answer.

Whisperstar looked up at the strong tom, one of her best Warriors. "Maybe a bit, but not as much as it is for Tunnelkit" she said, looking to the small bundle of fur. She nudged his small shoulder as he let out a little squeak. "You should head back to the nursery den once you've eaten you prey" she purred. Giving her paw a quick lick, and her ear a swift swipe, she turned back to Lightstep, "I see that your hunting patrol went well, the pile seems much larger than it had been" Whisperstar congratulated him. "That may be the most we've gotten out of an entire patrol this leaf-bare" she sighed, watching as TUnnelkit gnawed on his little mouse.

Lightstep's gaze was held on the kit, his green eyes still full of the same warmth and light. Oh to be a kit again. . so free and innocent, unburdened by the constant task of warrior duties. But would it really be worth it ? After all, his time would come, too. His thoughts overtook him for these few seconds, and he struggled to regain awareness and understanding of the conversation that was currently taking place.
Out aloud, he answered; 'Hmm, yes, your leader is right. Go now,' he mewed, his voice calm and compelling. He smiled again, as the kit gave a little squeak; perhaps of fright or surprise, he wasn't quite sure, as Whisperstar nudged him gently. The youngster began to chew at a mouse and his tail twitched with some amusment. A few moments later, at last, the kit out of sight, he could tell that the conversation may turn to more serious matters.
'Thank you.' He dipped his head to her, acknowledging that she really did mean it; prey was short. Times were tough, he was well aware of that. He just seemed to be realizing how concerned she sounded. Now that scared him, quite a bit, if he really thought about it. A deep sigh. He turned to her, replying to her beforehand comment. 'The most ? Yes, I do suppose you're right. He, in turn, sighed too. Times are tough now, but perhaps a moon or two to go. . then the worst is through. He said, gently, his voice was even, surprisingly. For on the inside he was 'bubbling' with concern for his beloved clanmates. His tail flicked up, catching her gently on the shoulder. The movement was brief, but the caring was there.

Whisperstar disappeared into her den under the highrock, the familiar smells already making her eyes heavy. 'It's going to be quite some time before the clans recover and begin to grow again...' she sighed at the thought, curling up on some soft moss. She peaked out of a crack in the rock, seeing the stars sparkling before her eyes. "I know Starclan will be with every clan, helping them recover and become strong again" a thought swept over Whisperstar.. 'but if we all do get stronger, then there will be an even greater chance that battles will occur' Whisperstar's sorrowful gaze ventured back into her den, remembering Tunnelkit. "It's SO hard to grow up when your so small at these times, I hope he'll be ok" but Whisperstar could only pray that the growth of every clan was a good fortune. Whisperstar decided that she couldn't sleep. Heaving herself onto her paws, she treaded out into the clearing, her soft fur easily being blown around by the wind. Her light blue eyes streaked the high rock as she swiftly, and silently jumped onto it, laying on her belly and overlapping one paw over the other. She watched the clearing, let the thin slice of the moon's light graze her now beautiful light gray pelt. ~
