Wildpath saw his leader fall over and ran to her, thinking she was injured. "Thunderstar!-" he stopped, "oh, you're ok....Why are you laying in the middle of the clearing, anyway?" He asked. His pad was bleeding a bit and he licked it, the sour taste spreading throughout his rough tongue. "blech" he said, slapping his tongue around and his ears snapped straight up, remembering something. "Oh! Thunderstar, I saw Hollyblaze around the full moon week, and she said she was happy that you would acccept to see her and possibly let her into the clan" Wildpath flicked his ears and paw, continuing to lick it clean, his little nose scar crinkling with the taste of blood.

Duskcloud was watching. His pale amber gaze fixed on the two cats, just a few fox - length's away. His head tilted slightly, as he tried to keep pace with the conversation he was struggling to hear, from his position. He thought he heard the name, Hollyblaze, mentioned and instantly, as if of its own accord, the fur on his neck stood up. With what emotion; he was not sure. But he knew he had dark feelings about that cat. However, he would reveal these to no other. After all, feelings were just feelings, instict if you like, until otherwize proven through action. That was what he believed, anyway.
As the two cats separated, he ran up to his leader, eager to embark on what liked a mission she was about to take. He knew it would be a simple one; hunting or patrolling, but that didn't bother him. Anything was better than sitting around in this almost desolate camp. But he knew Thunderstar was doing her best, and he was proud of her, for this. 'Thunderstar!' His breath came in quick gasps, more with exhiliration, than the fact he was out of breath. 'May I join you ? I must say, it has been a while since I was out of camp!' He stopped himself, keeping a check on his tongue; which was often known to ramble on, quite a bit.

"Of course you can join me" she purred. " i would enjoy the company." she meowed. "we might as we do patrol as well"she added. "it would only take a few minutes." she continued. 'Can't i do anything without a warriors company?' she thought.

Duskcloud nodded and moved into step with Thunderstar. Although the leader's response had sounded friendly enough, her voice had been full of emotion; dismay, or perhaps annoyance ? He wasn't quite sure what the emotion was that was radiating from his leader's pelt, but he didn't like it. He felt suddenly uncomfortable, unsure of himself. He would have thought she would have appreciated some help, or more, friendship. But, perhaps he had been mistaken. She may have instead seeked for solitude.
He continued walking, although his pace was a little more stiff, now. He was careful to keep the distance between them, never allowing his pelt to brush hers, as he would have normally done in an effort to be supportive. As they walked further and further out into the wilderness of the forest, his thoughts fixed on the task ahead. He crouched down, unsure of his next move with his leader so close. Unknown to him, his head slowly turned in her direction, looking to her, as if for approval, a question; what now ?

she looked back at him and her eyes said "we hunt.' she stalked off into the wood a tried to get away from duskcloud. She was happy when she was finally alone for a few minutes. she found a sunny spot and sat down..... she enjoied the sunny. she felt the warmth on her face and she liked it. it was the only thing she like in her clan was all the sunny spots.

Duskcloud dipped his head to her, recognizing the unspoken signal as a 'yes'. He trotted after her, trying to keep up with her furious pace, when he suddenly realized something. She was trying to get away! This didn't bother him, now, as he realized all she really desired was some time to be alone. Dropping his pace, suddenly, he let her stalk ahead. He almost turned the other way, then thought differenly, and continued on, doing some scouting of his own. He didn't see much prey, though by now, this normally disturbing lack of forest creatures didn't bother him. It was the way he was starting to see the forest where he and his clan lived, would be like; rather empty. He saw her, then, lying there and his whiskers crinkled with happiness for her. Then, with a swish of his tail, he left her to it, deciding to aim for three pieces of fresh - kill to bring back. Yes, that sounded good.

Thunderstar thought she heard someone following her. She looked around but saw no one. She put her head back down and tried to close her eyes but she was scared to close her eyes. She had been having nightmares about her clan falling apart. She didn't want the clan to be more destroyed than what it already is. She forcefully closed her eyes and fell into a deep sleep. When her eyes open she was in her den, but she knew that this was part of the dream. She walked out of her den and there was no sign of life around her. She went and poked her nose in every den, but she could not find any cat. Then she looked out of her camp and there was fire all around her. She tried to find her little water pool but everytime she had this dream it always moved and when she was close to finding it she would get devored by the fire.

PantherClaw padded through the forest and he was looking for a new home. He didnt know what to do with his life but he wanted to help someone and himself at the same time. His nose scented some strange cats in the forest and he went to investigate. The scent was strong and strange to him but he carried on until he saw a sleeping cat in the grass, he could tell she was having nightmares. that was never good for a cat or even a leader as he could tell she was.

Thunderstar woke with a start. She jumped up in the fighting stance, but then she relaxed and started to clean herself. 'it was only a dream' she thought to herself. Then there was a breeze, and she smelt a cat near by it was not a scent from any of the clans. " Come out and show yourself" she yowled to the mystery cat. "I have a friend close by." she continued, trying not to show any fear.

Wildpath's eagerness to hunt got the best of him. Busting out the entrance he began to run off some of his extra energy, enjoying the breeze on his pelt as he did. He started to wonder when Thunderstar would have her kits, or who the father was. 'When would she start to go to gatherings?' he thought, settling down and walking to a nice hunting spot. Wildpath scented the air for prey, the slight wind helped him with his catch as he spotted a mouse, and got into a low crouch. With a quick jump, he had it's furry body in his claws, and once he burried it, he smelt something. A rogue? A loner?...Wait, Thunderstar as well? SOmething was wrong. Wildpath burried the prey quickly, running to the akward mixture of scents. "THunderstar!!"Wildpath called, spotting his clan leader standing near a small dozing spot where the brown grass beneath her was bent and crinkled. "I smelt an enemy scent and I---" Wildpath stopped dead, hoping the cat would soon turn around and leave.

Thunderstar turned to see Wildpath darting towards her. "I am fine Wildpath i smelt the sent to i was just warning the cat who is out their that they better back off or they will be the injured one leaving here." she told wildpath. "I as just out her to get some peace and queit out here in the forest. Duskcloud came out her with me to hunt and do patrol." she continued hoping that her warrior would not question her any farther.

As yet another warrior ran up to them, Wildpath, this time, the deputy could not help but wonder if they would ever get around to hunting. More worried for the clan, than his own comfort, he continued to listen with growing anxiety, as they continued their conversation. In truth, he was surprised the young warrior had thought them an enemy patrol, but he let the matter pass, contributing nothing to the mistake.
Duskcloud waited paitiently by his leader's side, sensing her growing agitation. He himself, shifted his weight from his left paw, to right, then back again. It was growing harder to hold in his frustration. Oh, how he could not wait to hit the hunting grounds. Perhaps, he though with despair, the atmosphere; silent and calm, would help his mood. He could even escape a little while, escape into his own thoughts, for there, you were meant to be quiet. He hoped the warrior would not question any further, as he presumed Thunderstar was thinking.

Wildpath's ears began to burn with embarrassment at seeing his leader was ok. He thought for sure another cat was attacking his clanmates, and with her scent mingled with another, his intension of curiosity was high. "I'm sorry to interupt your hunting session," Wildpath apologized to his leader, "I was just being precautious, I've been a bit jumpy lately." The dark-grayed warrior turned his head away, his eyes in gentle slits. A couple moments passed. "If you don't mind, I was hunting myself, so may I atleast join you?" Wildpath was a very young warrior, so every chance he had he was determined to do something. Eyeing the deputy, he flicked his tail in greeting and silently trekked to a bundle of bushes, crouching down to listen for prey.
