The story begins long ago when the world was young and the gods looked over humanity with benevolent eyes. Well most did. While there were those who sought to see what humanity would become and would accept them as they were, there were those whom wished to control all our universe had to offer. Both earth and the Heavens. Time passed and before long factions has risen to represent these opinions and war broke out, a war that would cause earth to fall into an era of madness that we called the dark ages. It looked as if our wolds would be thrown into the fiery cauldron of a living hell, plague ran rampid and all over the world man kind begged their gods to put an end to their suffering, but no help came. It seemed that the gods and their spirits lost sight of what was important. All but one. She was the mighty Inari whom lead the spirits known as kitsune. She saw what had become of heaven and earth and could see only one way to stop this suffering, To seal the entirety of heaven itself forever pausing the war that raged on.
Soon humanity moved on and grew to become the world we know today and so much more. There were still wars and sickness but they passed and never caused any real harm to humanity as a whole. That is until one man learned of what transpired in the heavens above and sought to undo it. With malice and greed he broke the seal and plunged the world into a new darkness like none seen before. All our technology went haywire. Bombs launched from their silos, the power grid failed, human kind was left to wonder why in the ruins of their broken cities.
This is one hundred years later. The heavens are still at war and the inari has descended in order to protect humanity since she failed to stop the war. Humans themselves being crafty as they are developed new technology using steam.
The war goes on. Will you side with Inari and help rebuild humanity or will you side with malice and greed and strive to keep the gods at war? Rumor has it that the man who started it all those years ago is still out there somehow. Do you seek him out to join him or to kill him?
